Sunday Services at Oasis Church

We know how hard it can be to walk into an existing group of people, so we wanted to take the time to describe what happens at our Sunday Services.

Running Order

Our Sunday Service is when we get together as a family to enjoy God together. We have a running order, and aim to start and finish on time.

  • 10:30 - Praise / Worship
  • 10:55 - Bible Reading & Kids Talk (sometimes)
  • 11:05 - Updates from the Pastor
  • 11:10 - Teaching
  • 11:40 - Communion, Praise / Worship & Offering
  • 12:00 - Close, followed by refreshments

We usually follow the format decribed above, but sometimes we do things a little differently. Very occasionally we have a "chat show" style meeting, where people are interviewed. At other times we incorporate DVDs or video clips. The start and finish times remain the same whatever format we use.

Offering

If you are a visitor, we do not expect you to contribute to the offering. Please just pass it on to the next person.

Close & Formal Liturgy

We always close by saying the "Grace" (or "Blessing") together. The words for this will appear on the projector screen. Also, any other prayers / liturgy we use will appear on the projector screen.

Refreshments

After the service, we serve refreshments at the back of the hall.
