Sunday School

At Oasis Church, we believe that children respond to God best when actively included in the main service.  We look to provide stimulating activities for them, to help them in their journey in life.

As a part of the church, we want to teach them to engage in the worship and teaching.  We also encourage children to take communion, providing they have a basic understanding of what it's about.  Please ask if you are unsure whether or not your children would be welcome to join in with communion.

We ask parents to enjoy the time during the service with their children, and not to worry about the children making a bit of noise, as long as it isn't really disruptive.  A family service is a time for the whole family to worship God in the way we are most comfortable.

We produce worksheets every week that can either be completed during the service or taken home.  We have a number of stimulating toys available, including puzzles and fun learning games.  There are regular prize-givings for when the children have achieved either over a period of time, or when a challenge has been set by the Pastor and completed.

Sunday School is supposed to be fun for the children, and our vision is for this to be the best hour of our children's week.  We're not there yet, but we're moving in the right direction!
